From October 3 to 17, two members of the COMPAS project team traveled to Sydney, Australia to pay a visit to in-office CSLers to understand the Australian team’s current processes and make sure COMPAS reflects their reality accurately.
Through meetings and workshops, the project team collaborated with their colleagues to get ready for the next phase of the project, the User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
UAT is a phase of COMPAS development in which the software is tested in the real world by a few targeted end users. This is an opportunity for them to interact with COMPAS before its official release in March to see if any features have been missed and if any adjustments are needed to ensure that it best meets our needs at CSL.
To make sure all targeted end users are represented, the Crewing Coordinators and a few crew members will be part of the UAT, which will start off on Wednesday, November 16 and continue until Friday, December 16.
