After months of hard work, the launch of Ocean Learning Platform (OLP) was completed on August 29 and marks the beginning of a new era in the way seafarer training is managed at CSL.
The web and mobile versions of OLP are now accessible to all impacted seafarers, who received their login information on their personal email addresses. If you have not received this information yet, please discuss with your supervisor on board.
The installation of OLP appliances, which allows a connection to OLP via the vessels network and without the use of it’s WIFI, is still in progress with installation completed on 22 vessels out of 28. Installation should be completed on the remaining vessels by September 9.
To know more about OLP and how it works, please visit the Resources section of this portal. You will find OLP familiarization videos, a crew user guide as well as an FAQ which has been updated recently and will continue to be maintained following your feedback.
For shipboard management (Captains, Chief Officers, Chief Engineers and 2nd Engineers), a new vessel administrator user guide has been added to the Resources section and you can now register for a training session, directly in OLP, by choosing the time slot that suits you during the month of September.
